Lem TragNguyen (cô ấy/họ) là một nghệ sĩ thị giác và giám tuyển nghệ thuật trình diễn, sinh ra tại Đức và lớn lên giữa Việt Nam và Đức. Được đào tạo trong chương trình Thạc sĩ Mỹ thuật (MFA) tập trung vào cơ thể, lý thuyết và thi pháp của nghệ thuật trình diễn, cô kết hợp nghiên cứu thực hành với công việc giám tuyển. Thực hành của cô khám phá nguồn gốc, sự gắn kết và những bản sắc đang thay đổi trong bối cảnh hậu thuộc địa, thường sử dụng các chất liệu gia đình để biến trình diễn và sự tái cấu trúc thành không gian của ký ức và sự cộng hưởng giữa các thế hệ.
Các tác phẩm của cô đã được trưng bày trên trường quốc tế, bao gồm tại Liên hoan IN:ACT (Hà Nội, 2017-2022), Tranzit (Prague, 2019), Tháng Thực hành Nghệ thuật (Việt Nam, 2020–21), Documenta 15 (Kassel, 2022), Liên hoan Nghệ thuật Công nghiệp lần thứ 4 (Croatia, 2023), Suprainfinit Collisions (Bucharest, 2023), ifa-Galerie Stuttgart (2024), Bảo tàng và Galerie im Prediger (2025), Gặp gỡ lưỡng niên của các nghệ sĩ trình diễn châu Á tại Expedition Camp (2025) và các địa điểm khác trên khắp châu Âu và châu Á. Bên cạnh hoạt động nghệ thuật, cô còn phát triển các dự án giám tuyển như chiếu phim về cộng đồng người Việt Nam tại Bảo tàng Linden Stuttgart (2024), hội thảo tại Bảo tàng Schwules Berlin (2025), và một sự kiện nghệ thuật queer đa ngành của các nghệ sĩ Đông Á và Đông Nam Á [TRỐN VÀ TÌM] tại Stuttgart (2025). Năm 2021, Lem thành lập Hay Là, một nền tảng độc lập cho nghệ thuật trình diễn tại Việt Nam.
Lem TragNguyen (she/they) is a performance-based visual artist and curator, born in Germany and raised between Vietnam and Germany. Educated in an MFA program focused on the body, theory, and the poetics of performance art, she combines practice-led research with curatorial work. Her practice explores origin, belonging, and shifting identities in postcolonial contexts, often using domestic materials to turn performance and reconfiguration into spaces of memory and intergenerational resonance.
Her works have been presented internationally, including at IN:ACT Festival (Hanoi, 2017-2022), Tranzit (Prague, 2019), Month of Art Practice (Vietnam, 2020–21), Documenta 15 (Kassel, 2022), the 4th Industrial Art Biennial (Croatia, 2023), Suprainfinit Collisions (Bucharest, 2023), ifa-Galerie Stuttgart (2024), Museum und Galerie im Prediger (2025), A biennial gathering of Asian performers Expedition Camp (2025) and other venues across Europe and Asia. Alongside her artistic practice, she develops curatorial projects such as a film screening on the Vietnamese diaspora at the Linden Museum Stuttgart (2024), workshop at Schwules Museum Berlin (2025), a multidisciplinary queer art event by East and Southeast Asian artists [HIDE AND SEEN] in Stuttgart (2025). In 2021, Lem founded Hay Là, an independent platform for performance art in Vietnam.
