KURU CIRCUS là một ban nhạc nổi tiếng đến từ Ấn Độ. Họ mang theo chuyến lưu diễn hiện tại các chất liệu âm nhạc hoàn toàn mới nằm trong album sắp ra mắt của các thành viên trong ban nhạc là IMFL và Ari Jayaprakash. Chơi nhạc và lưu diễn cùng nhau được phân nửa thập kỉ, các đêm diễn của họ luôn bao gồm các màn trình chiếu và trình diễn nghệ thuật ‘live’ độc đáo.
Ngoài các thành viên Ari Jayaprakash đến từ Bangalore và IMFL đến từ New Delhi, “dàn hợp xướng” Kuru Circus & Orchestra còn có sự góp mặt của các nghệ sĩ khách mời theo từng chặng của chuyến lưu diễn. Xuất hiện trong chuyến lưu diễn gần đây là Sandeep Madhavan (The Burning Deck) và Shayne Ballantyne (Goa). KURU CIRCUS vốn dĩ là một dự án trình diễn nghệ thuật nhằm hợp nhất môi trường âm thanh với cuốn tiểu thuyết đồ hoạ “Biên niên Kuru” (The Kuru Chronicles) sáng tác bởi Ari Jayaprakash và Anisha Sridhar. Dẫu vậy, trải qua nhiều năm, âm nhạc đã tràn vào các ca khúc và môi trường âm thanh khác. Các track nhạc sẽ được phát hành riêng, ngay sau album mới của ban nhạc cuối năm nay.
Kuru Circus are a well known band from India. The current tour set now includes brand new material from band members IMFL and Ari Jayaprakash’s unreleased albums. Having played and toured together for over half a decade now, the shows includes live art and projections.
Beside Ari Jayaprakash from Bangalore and IMFL from New Delhi, Kuru Circus & Orchestra ensemble constitutes other guest artists who feature periodically on tour. The current tour features Sandeep Madhavan (The Burning Deck) and Shayne Ballantyne from Goa. Kuru Circus was initially conceived as a performance art project which largely incorporated soundscapes to the graphic novel – ‘The Kuru Chronicles’ by Ari Jayaprakash and Anisha Sridhar. However, over the last couple of years, the music has expanded into other songs and soundscapes. These tracks will be released separately, following the new album from the band, later this year.
