On Sofa #7 mời gọi bạn bè nghệ thuật cùng tới vui chơi trên ghế dài trong một tối điện ảnh. Người tham gia sẽ cùng nhau thưởng thức 2 bộ phim ngắn của đạo diễn Nghiêm Quỳnh Trang – Một Cuộc Thẩm Vấn và Đi Cổng Trời – và phim ngắn đầu tay Accidents & Emergencies (Nos Urgences) của đạo diễn Linh-Dan Pham. Sau phần chiếu phim, khán giả sẽ cùng trò chuyện trực tuyến với cả hai đạo diễn.

Thu cùng anh trai Christophe và vị hôn thê của anh là Sophie gặp nhau tại phòng cấp cứu sau khi bà của họ bị ngã. Trong lúc chờ bác sĩ đưa ra chẩn đoán, những căng thẳng âm ỉ giữa các thành viên trong gia đình dần bộc lộ. Mỗi người đều phải đối diện với những câu hỏi về vai trò, trách nhiệm của bản thân cũng như sợi dây gắn kết giữa họ.

Để được cấp giấy phép cư trú tại Pháp, một cô gái Việt phải trải qua buổi thẩm vấn về cuộc hôn nhân của mình. Trong lúc kể lại câu chuyện ấy, ranh giới giữa sự thật và điều được kể dần trở nên mong manh.

Sau khi cha qua đời, hai mẹ con cùng lên Cổng Trời. Trong khi người mẹ tìm kiếm cuộc hội ngộ cuối cùng với người chồng đã khuất, người con dần đối diện với vực sâu trong chính mình. Hành trình ấy mở ra cơ hội để cả hai thấu hiểu nhau hơn.
Linh-Dan Pham chạm ngõ điện ảnh trong bộ phim Indochine của đạo diễn Régis Wargnier, với vai diễn Camille – con gái nuôi của nhân vật do Catherine Deneuve thủ vai. Vai diễn này mang về cho cô đề cử Giải César hạng mục Nữ diễn viên triển vọng nhất.
Sau khởi đầu đầy ấn tượng đó, cô rời xa màn ảnh suốt mười năm để tập trung cho việc học. Sau đó, cô chuyển đến New York và theo học phương pháp diễn xuất Actors Studio tại Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute.
Trở về Pháp, Linh-Dan tiếp tục sự nghiệp diễn xuất với các bộ phim Les Mauvais Joueurs của Frédéric Balekdjian và The Beat That My Heart Skipped của Jacques Audiard. Với Les Mauvais Joueurs, cô đóng cặp cùng Romain Duris và giành Giải César cho Nữ diễn viên triển vọng nhất – mười ba năm sau lần đầu tiên được đề cử ở chính hạng mục này.
Sau đó, cô tái hợp với Régis Wargnier trong Have Mercy on Us All (Pars vite et reviens tard), đồng thời góp mặt trong nhiều bộ phim như Dante 01, Sunny Spells (Le Bruit des gens autour) và All That Glitters (Tout ce qui brille). Nghiêm Quỳnh Trang là một nhà làm phim Việt Nam, hiện làm việc giữa Praha và Hà Nội. Tốt nghiệp ngành Quan hệ Quốc tế tại Hà Nội trước khi theo học điện ảnh tại Paris, các tác phẩm của Trang được định hình bởi trải nghiệm sống giữa nhiều không gian văn hóa và sự quan tâm đến cách những biến động xã hội để lại dấu vết trong đời sống riêng tư. Trang thường trở lại với các chủ đề về di cư, ký ức gia đình, khoảng cách giữa các thế hệ và hành trình tìm kiếm cảm giác thuộc về.
Trang là đồng biên kịch của bộ phim dài Cu Li không bao giờ khóc (đạo diễn Phạm Ngọc Lân), tác phẩm giành giải GWFF Phim đầu tay xuất sắc nhất tại Liên hoan phim Berlin năm 2024. Trang đồng thời đảm nhiệm vai trò nhà sản xuất và thiết kế mỹ thuật của bộ phim. Gần đây, Trang trở lại với vai trò đạo diễn qua phim ngắn Đi Cổng Trời, được tuyển chọn vào chương trình Czech Short Films 2026 của Trung tâm Điện ảnh Séc.

Sự kiện sẽ được tư liệu hoá dưới dạng hình ảnh và ghi âm, phục vụ cho mục đích lưu trữ, nghiên cứu, khảo sát, quảng bá… của tác giả và Heritage Art Space. Khi tham gia, khán giả đồng ý cho phép Heritage Art Space (và tác giả) được quyền sử dụng hình ảnh, ý kiến của bạn để làm tư liệu cho chương trình.
On Sofa #7 invites art lovers to gather on the sofa for an evening of cinema. The programme features two short films by director Nghiêm Quỳnh Trang – An Interrogation and Visiting Heaven Gate – alongside Accidents & Emergencies (Nos Urgences), the debut short film by director Linh-Dan Pham. The screenings will be followed by an online Q&A with both directors.

After her father's passing, a daughter and her mother visit a mountain peak, where the mother seeks reunion with her husband. The daughter, grappling with vulnerability, exploring her own abyss. Together, they look for healing and understanding.
Linh-Dan Pham made her film debut in Régis Wargnier’s Indochine, playing Camille, the adopted daughter of the character portrayed by Catherine Deneuve. The role got her a nomination for the Cesar Award for Most Promising Actress.
After this extraordinary start, she disappeared from the screen for ten years to focus on her studies. She then moved to New York, where she trained in the Actors Studio method at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute.
Upon returning to France, she resumed her acting career, appearing in Frédéric Balekdjian’s Les Mauvais Joueurs and then Jacques Audiard’s The Beat That My Heart Skipped. For the latter, in which she starred opposite Romain Duris, she won the Cesar Award for Most Promising Actress—thirteen years after her first nomination for the same award.
She later reunited with Régis Wargnier for Have Mercy on Us All (Pars vite et reviens tard), and appeared in films such as Dante 01, Sunny Spells (Le Bruit des gens autour), and All That Glitters (Tout ce qui brille). She then went on to star in productions including James McTeigue’s Ninja Assassin, Jaco Van Dormael’s Mr. Nobody, Maïwenn’s The Actresses’ Ball (Le Bal des actrices), Abdel Raouf Dafri’s Qu’un Sang Impur, and Justin Chon’s Blue Bayou (presented at the Cannes and Deauville Film Festivals).
In parallel, Linh-Dan has appeared in numerous television series such as Pigalle, la nuit (Canal Plus), Mytho (Netflix/Arte) , Or de Lui (France TV), and Last Days of the Space Age (Disney+).
In 2023, Linh-Dan stepped behind the camera to direct her first short film, Nos Urgences, which was presented at the Cannes Film Festival.

Nghiêm Quỳnh Trang is a Vietnamese filmmaker working between Prague and Hanoi. She studied political science in Hanoi before training in filmmaking in Paris. Her work is shaped by living between places and by an interest in how larger social changes leave traces in intimate lives. She often returns to stories of migration, family memory, intergenerational distance, and the complex search for belonging.
Trang co-wrote the feature Cu Li Never Cries (directed by Phạm Ngọc Lân), which won the GWFF Best First Feature Award at the 2024 Berlinale, and she also served as the film's producer and production designer. She recently returned to directing with the short film Visiting Heaven Gate, selected for the Czech Film Center’s Czech Short Films 2026 collection.
This is a non-profit event. We encourage attendees to support the artist with a small contribution (from 80,000 VND) as a gesture of appreciation. All proceeds will be given directly to the artist after the event.
